Overview
In Webex Calling, you can use features like blind transfer or consultative transfer to transfer calls to internal extensions or external numbers.
Here's how to transfer calls in Webex:
1. Blind Transfer:
During a call, click the "More" button or the "Transfer"
button. Enter the extension or number of the person you want to transfer the call to.
Click "Transfer Now" to transfer the call immediately.
2. Consultative Transfer:
During a call, click the "More" button or the "Transfer"
button. Enter the extension or number of the person you want to transfer the call to.
Choose "Consult first" to chat with the recipient before transferring.
Talk to the recipient, and if they agree, click "Complete Transfer."
3. Using Webex App:
During a call, tap the "Transfer"
button. Enter the name or number of the person you want to transfer the call to.
You can either consult first or choose "Transfer Now."
4. Using Webex Calling for Chrome:
Click the "Transfer"
button during a call. Enter the recipient's extension or number.
Once the recipient answers, click "Complete Transfer."
Key points about call transfers:
Blind transfer: Transfers the call immediately without consulting the recipient.
Consultative transfer: Lets you speak with the recipient before transferring the call.
You can transfer to internal extensions or external numbers.
Virtual lines: Are used for multi-line support, but not directly for transferring calls.
